Al met al een geweldige ervaring. Goede service, goede uitleg, geweldig eten.
Vanavond was ik met Karel in Restaurant Publique op het
Anna Paulownaplein.
Het was gezellig druk op het plein en we begonnen op het terras van Publique met een aperitief, ons aangeraden door de bediening.

Persoonlijk vond ik het qua smaakbeleving tegen vallen, veel verhalen
(van de bediening) over de ingrediënten van de kleine hapjes die er heel verzorgd uitzagen maar niet smaakpapillen strelend waren. Het voorgerecht "een krab burgertje" was zo koud dat het bijna bevroren leek, dat deed af aan de smaak. Voor mij was het hoofdgerecht gekookte vis , die was smakeloos en was volgens mij goedkope koolvis die je aan de poes geeft?
Er werd in de gerechtjes meest witte kool gebruikt aangemaakt met boter.
Afijn een creatieve kok in de keuken die zijn gerechtjes goed verzorgd en chic opdient met interessante verhalen van de bediening maar weinig smaakvol en goedkope ingrediënten. Daarnaast een zeer gepeperde rekening "glaasje aperitief 10 euro per glaasje" vond ik in elk geval, het eten teleurstellend en prijs kwaliteit niet in verhouding. Wat wel goed beviel is de sfeer, de leuke locatie, vriendelijke bediening. Maar als ik lekker wil eten "ook als het niet goedkoop is" ga ik niet naar Publique.

We hebben genoten. Gerechten waren niet heel bijzonder maar de begeleidende wijnen maakten het compleet.
Heerlijk gegeten, verrassende smaken. Ook heel lekkere wijnen erbij. Aanrader!
